Questions people ask

Everything you need to know before booking 20TEN DJ.

Do you take song requests on the night?

Absolutely! I always read the room and encourage guest requests. Before the event, we'll also put together a playlist so I have all your "must-plays" (and a list of "do-not-plays") ready to go.

How much space do you need to set up?

A standard setup needs roughly 3 x 2 metres of space, plus access to at least two standard plug sockets. My setup is adaptable, so I can fit into tighter spaces like pub corners or small marquees if needed.

Are you fully insured and venue compliant?

Yes. I carry £5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance (PLI), and all of my equipment is fully insured and regularly maintained to professional standards.

How do we secure our date?

Once we confirm the details of your event, a 20% booking fee secures your date in the diary. The remaining balance is usually due 28 days before the event.

Can we arrange a meeting before booking?

Absolutely. I offer free, no-obligation video or phone consultations for all weddings and corporate events. It's a great way to chat about your plans and make sure we're the right fit for your celebration.

Do you act as the Master of Ceremonies (MC)?

Yes. For Signature and Full Day wedding packages and corporate awards, I provide MC services. I'll handle your key announcements, from introducing the newlyweds to guiding guests through the evening.

What happens if equipment fails?

I use reliable, industry-standard equipment, but technology can always be unpredictable. I bring backup audio sources, spare cables and a second mixer to every event so the music never stops.

What happens if you're unable to perform due to illness or an emergency?

In the very unlikely event that I (Charlie Vart) can't perform because of sudden illness, injury or a serious personal emergency, I'll provide a qualified, competent backup DJ to perform under the same terms as your booking.
